Expecting a boy, her parent’s were all set with the masculine name Charles. A seven pound 5 ounces bouncing baby girl rapidly changed their well laid plans. Charles became Charlene, but the nickname Charly stuck ever since.
This website is a portal to the art, photography and writing of Charly.
Charly started writing stories as a child, writing over 100 short stories by the age of ten. Since then Charly sojourned into the work-a-day world and held many executive positions, until recently when her inner child burst out again with her first published book, The Great Bobbin and Hobbin.
Influences include Dr. Seuss, Mr. Dressup (also Casey & Finnigan of course), certain grade school teachers and her Godfather, Pierre.
Art is a window into a person’s intellectual interests, emotional state and a communication, simple or complex, that they wish to present to the world.
Colours, patterns, beauty and nature are a recurring theme in the art and photography of Charly.
Additionally some of the inherent flaws of the digital age of photography lend themselves to the creation of unique images not otherwise obtainable. You can take a look at the digitally dramatic here.
