“Phooting” – Part 1 (photo + shooting)

Hello visitors!

I am currently in Florida avoiding the winter blues. The weather is great. I love doing photography here, and mother nature is very accommodating, usually….

I saw a photo shot that had to be taken immediately! Ok, well I saw it a week ago, on my only day off,  when I didn’t have my camera on me. Darn.

I did make one attempt to get the photo while in a vehicle on this bridge; we pulled over illegally, I jumped the small wall and started clicking away. I noticed the camera was not making it’s customary shutter sounds. Dismayed I made a few more feeble attempts to get it working, then had to reluctantly jump back in the truck and drive off.

I thanked the driver for taking the time, bit my lip, and realized I had set my camera on a 10 second delay for a farewell shot of friends and myself at the condo last Friday, hence a failed photo shoot.

So, as soon as I can drag myself away from the computer, get on my bike, climb a bridge, and hang in an unusual and dangerous position to capture the “moment”, then I will get the shot. If I manage all that, I still don’t know if my zoom lense will be sufficient to do it justice.

Most of all I am crossing my fingers that the shot remains intact until I get my s*#t together to take the photo.

Aaah, the adventure of photography.

Until next time, happy phooting. (in this case it was my word for Unplanned Action Photo Shooting)
